Bentgrass
Used almost exclusively on golf courses, bentgrass withstands a close cutting height and traffic stress, making it an ideal choice for use on greens, tees and fairways in cool, transitional and arid climates. It reproduces with stolons (above-ground runners) and tillers (shoots from the crown).Bentgrass tolerates low mowing heights from 0.1" to 0.5" but requires regular fertilization and water to avoid pressure from disease and insects. It produces a dense stand of turf and is successful at withstanding pressure from weeds.
Glory colonial bentgrass surpasses the competition for winter growth in poor light and stays green longer as other colonials turn brown. Ideal for seeding programs to improve older golf course fairways and turf. Glory features significantly improved turf quality and aggressive growth habit with very good summer performance.
